There are so many versions and covers of this song, and I love it in all its versions. The magic of the song never fades. The person, who accepts you for who you are as you are, and takes your good and makes it better and takes your bad and makes it good. It is that person in your life who you should never forget and that person you should try to be for others.

This song is dedicated to all those people in my life who help me stay strong in adversity and rebuild my life. Those people who reasoned with me when I was wrong, who helped me move on from my mistakes, and picked me up when I was beat and broken. To my Son, who is the very reason for my existence and living. To my family, for their support, irrespective of what the world thought. I wish every daughter had parents like mine, who put ever above everyone and everything else when faced with a situation that is still not easily accepted by the society. My Brother and Sister In Law for standing by me when they did not have to.

Growing up I  never had many friends, I considered myself as a loner, and after college never expected to find such friends ever again. I thought such friendships where they  Eat, bunk, study and flunk together, basically live together are only in movies and things like that. But then last November a strange thing happened. I registered to participate in the NaNoWriMo and joined the group of fellow writers, people who are passionate about the same things that I was.

We all belong to different age groups and and live in different cities, but the nine of us, (Nithya – who has written that piece, Nirmal, Raji, Uttiya, Arjun, Nimisha, Preethi, Vi and of course Me) are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that fits to complete the picture. We many not be in the same city but we know each others moods, tantrums and likes dislikes like the back of our hand. We know why one of cries when He/She does and why one of us is happy. We are like this katta gang from college who everyone is in awe of and everyone aspires to be a part of. We are all different and still the same happily accepting each other for just who we are and glad that we are 🙂

This is also dedicated to an amazing friend I met and made through the challenge. He has been a constant source of Inspiration, strength and motivation. He has been my friend , my critic, my writing partner, my blackmailer and my idol. I am glad that I met him, and made a friend for life who I will value and cherish throughout my life. Vins – My Beshtest friend 🙂

These are the people who have been by me during my worst hour, Stood by me when the road ahead was dark, and taught me to be strong, happy and independent again. They helped me be ME again and I am forever grateful.
