NaPoWriMo: Flying Free

Jaibala/ April 2, 2014/ Poetry/ 16 comments

The Second Prompt for the NaPoWriMo was very interesting. “Today, I’d like you to go to Reb Livingston’s Bibliomancy Oracle. Clear your mind, push the button, and then write a poem based on the quotation that the oracle provides. Happy writing!” I did Go and hit the green button on the Oracle, and this is what I got

Feel Free to Shout at the Screen

Feel as Free as Possible

Feel Freer

Now for the poetry based on this.

The birds flying high,

The river flowing wild,

The wind blowing strong,

The flowers blooming long,

They fly without restriction,

Sometimes overflow their bounds,

They may blow too strong or not all,

They may not blossom,

But they are free to be what they want,

They are accepted for who they are,

They are forgiven their erratic,

Their unpredictability is part of the fun,

I look at them with a sense of wonder,

I look at them with hope and pride,

I want to live my life,

Just free to be me.
