NaPoWriMo: Cold Cold Go Away

Jaibala/ April 4, 2014/ Poetry

Today’s Prompt was a fun one. “I challenge you to write a charm – a simple rhyming poem, in the style of a recipe-slash-nursery rhyme. It could be a charm against warts, or against traffic tickets. It could be a charm to bring love, or to bring free pizzas from your local radio station.” Since this prompt is so much fun, I decided to my Son’s Favorite Fruits to create this. This one is for Him.

Apples, oranges, bananas and plums,

Mix them up and have some fun,

Take the ladle now its your turn,

Stir it around and then add some,

Honey to soothe your throat ,

Eat it up and make the cold go,

Headaches and cough also run,

While you sing Tweedle dee Tweedle dum.
