NaPowriMo : Me

Jaibala/ April 29, 2014/ Poetry/ 5 comments

Today for the NaPowriMo, not following the prompt. Was totally inspired to write something else.

ME

Somebody’s someone,that’s my introduction,

Why cant I just be Me and be done,

Yes I do Love, Respect and Honour every relation,

But why does only that, define who I am to be?

Another relation, another responsibility,

Looking at me, is that all you see?

Just because I am a a daughter, or have a son,

That is not what gives me dignity,

I am a strong, confident, independent woman,

I will just happy to be,known to everyone as Me.

  1. Well, when I introduce you, I’ll have to introduce you as “My Friend Jaibala” 😛 just saying this is Jaibala won’t help. 😉

    1. Ummm Jaibala My friend would also work 😛 BUt I guess somethings are an exception, like being your friend

  2. I have this dilemma now. A big dilemma!

  3. So true! People are often introduced as someone’s someone. Very rarely it’s just ‘hi, meet so and so’. It is very thought provoking and I wish the same. I wish people will see people for who they are. Just them, just their own identity. Not by their relation or vocation etc…. just them.

    P.S. You’re writing like how I feel 😀

    1. Hain na. How great would it be to be just me. *Hugs NJ*
