NaPoWriMo: Mona Lisa Smile

The First prompt for NaPoWriMo 2014 is an Ekphrastic Poem, and I choose The  Mona Lisa By Leonardo Da Vinci. The smiles on her face is so mysterious. This is the first time I am attempting one, so Here Goes,

He said he was leaving,

He said it would be a while,

He said I should let go,

Cause the distance was more than miles,

He said it wont be easy,

He said he was being kind,

He said he had decided,

The best for us this time,

And all i could do was sit,

Be still and smile,

If only he knew what was going on in my mind,

Then he would solve the mystery of  Mona Lisa’s Smile.
