NaPoWriMo: My Toys

Today’s Prompt for the NaPoWriMo, was ” Today, I challenge you to write a poem for children. This could be in the style of a nursery rhyme, or take a cue from Edward Lear or Shel Silverstein. It could rhyme — or not. It could be short — or not. Happy writing! ”  Here is My attempt.

I stack up the beakers,

Way up high,

And the toy block tower,

Touches the sky.

The train goes chuk chuk,

The motor cycle goes vroom,

The red colour car,

Just zips around the room.

And Bam Bam, Mickey, Ducky,

Lion , Puppy and Doggy,

They all put me to sleep,

When I am Very Sleepy.
