Not A Love Story

Jaibala/ July 30, 2014/ Poetry

Who are you to amend my dreams?

To carved a niche within my soul so deep,

To give me hope, then snatch it back,

To break my heart, then hear it snap,

You say you are just another,

Yet  you seem to have the power,

My world implodes as you walk away,

Your eyes close, (You) can’t see me this way,

My dreams were from their being,

An image of you and me, feeling,

Together forever, cant be true,

I can’t fancy a life with you,

My heart yearns for solace within,

As I wait for my story to begin,

Our path leads us together all  the time,

And still I cannot claim you to be mine.
