The Mother's Dilemma

Jaibala/ June 2, 2014/ Short Stories/ 8 comments

Was she just a Mother. Did she have to sacrifice years of working hard to get a degree and to get ahead in her career just to be a mother.

Does her child need her presence physically all the time, or does her baby need a happy satisfied mother who will spend quality and effective time with him.

All these thoughts weighed on her mind, when she decided that, “No, she would not sacrifice her life for the sake of fulfilling other’s idea of the perfect Mom. She will be the best Mom that she can be to her baby.”
