The stone so silent,

Standing tall,

What does it say,

To us all,

Does it atone,

A life, long lived?

Or attests to

Duties did,

Or cries for,

Lost chances,

Rues lost dreams,

Unfulfilled romances,

The stone

Is it a testimony

To life

Or its apology?
