I want to take my blog to the next level #Blogchatter

I was tagged by GauraviΒ to write this post.

Recently Nidhi asked us all a very important question, Why do you write? And I figured, there are so many reasons to write. You can see the responses of some really wonderful women in the post Why Women Write?

So why do I write? I write because it is my favourite form of expression. It isΒ  much easier to write what I feel rather than say. I write because it is my passion.I write because I can write and it took me three decades to figure it out. I write to share my story with the world. It makes the world less lonely. I write to connect with people like me and the ones who are not alike. I write so that people read.

I write because I am a writer. When I started this blog, it was just a place to vent and share. I guess that is how everyone starts out. Now it is still that place, but has grownΒ  more into a professional writer’s space.Β  And it is still growing. Because we all need to learn and grow. We decide the levels of growth and we climb up one step at a time, grow one level at a time.

I write because I want to grow.

So why do you write?

  • I guess Jai, I wandered into blogging and kind of got sucked into all the action here. Besides, I also found I could express myself in print better than verbally, hence I decided to relax n rave…smart huh?! You found your true calling in writing, late maybe, but atleast you found it! And girl, you have churned out so many kick-ass posts and articles already, wonder how it would have been, had you started off with writing? All the best in all your endeavors!

    • I think writing is something that pulls you in eventually, if you really love to write. You cannot escape it. And yes you deciding to Relax and Rave was an awesome decision for us too. And yes I am thankful every single day that I did not waste anymore time, now that I have figured out my calling. Thank You so Much Kala, for your support and the kind words πŸ™‚

    • I know what you mean, when you say you cannot write to schedule. There has to be a strong connection to what you are writing. Thank you Rekha πŸ™‚

  • I write because I understand what I think only when I read what I have written.
Good luck with your writing & taking it to the next level πŸ™‚

  • even when I started blogging, perhaps it was a space where I could vent, or express frustration through poetry. I’m happy to have grown and found so many co-travelers on the journey of writing too. πŸ™‚ Lovely thoughts, Jb.

  • I write because I enjoy writing. I blog because I love interaction and sharing of views. I write on a variety of subjects and passion. And I believe that everything I write reflects my voice, my personality.

  • I am happy to know that when you started out it was a place to share and vent. Don’t take me wrong but it kind a gives me an assurance that it is indeed never too late to start. Happy to be at the receiving end, I am determined to improve. πŸ™‚

    • You can start whenever you want to and for whatever reason you want to. That is the beauty of blogging. The important thing is to keep going once you start. And I am so glad that you took the first step.

  • I enjoy writing πŸ™‚ As simple as that sounds, I write because I love it. I blog because I enjoy it. It’s another reason I write very few sponsored posts (not that I have anything against those who write a lot) but when I write for myself I find it resonates with others better than when I do it from a brand’s perspective.

Oh and I write to be read. No question about it. Writing happens both ways for me.

    • Writing is difficult to sustain if you don’t enjoy it and your love for it shows in every word. I am with you on the “Writing is a two way street” idea. It is two ways for me too. I enjoy connecting with people based on what I have written and they have read.

  • Mmmm. I write as I love to do it. It keeps me engaged, lifts my mood and so many positives. My only regret, why didn’t I start sooner.

    • I guess that is the most important reason, because we can. Also writing (Especially poetry) always wins over most forms of expression when to comes to me.
