When I Meet Her…

Retracing that path beckoned

When my world turned grey

A few years, so many seconds

To find whatever I may

When my world turned grey,

To meet the one, I decide,

To find whatever I may,

Behind nothingness I hide

To meet the one, I decide,

She is the one that matters

Behind nothingness I hide,

Every mask now shatters

She is the one that matters,

The one who knows me

Every mask now shatters

Now I can be free

The one who knows me

She loves unconditionally

Now I can be free

She shines so brilliantly

She loves unconditionally,

Whatever it takes

She shines so brilliantly

Everything better it makes

Whatever it takes,

A few years, so many seconds

Everything better it makes

Retracing that path beckoned

  6. Searching …Finding ….Beautiful.

    1. Thanks So much Poornima. We wont find until we search and we wont search until we find. A full Circle.

  7. No one understands us better than we ourselves, and like the form went back to older lines, we go back to ourselves when we most need it. The journey of self discovery, as Sid puts it. Beautiful.

    1. You know how much I love this form of poetry. And this was the perfect thing to be said, because the form goes back to the older lines. The journey never ends, it is a cycle.

  8. Wow.. i love the way you have structured the poem and it goes back and circles the first line again. Beautiful search for yourself.

    1. This is what this form lent itself to. A full circle. Thank You So much 🙂

  9. You know me..poetry is not really my cup of tea.
I’m assuming that the ‘she’ here is like your inner self?
I guess, that’s the only person you need to be true to – yourself. And the one who can really set you free.

Good luck on this journey of self discovery.
